Abstract:
With the popularity of online courses, teachers and students are unable to teach face-toface,leading to an increasingly serious phenomenon of students’“proxy brushing” and “substituteteaching”. Therefore, there is an urgent need for a way to monitor students’ learning status in orderto observe and record their learning progress in a timely manner. The article designs an online courseteaching system based on facial recognition technology. Firstly, the relevant research backgroundwas elaborated; Secondly, the basic theoretical algorithms were introduced, and the students’ facialinformation was compared and verified with the records in the database. During the online courseteaching process, the system will confirm the student’s identity multiple times. The system usesalgorithms to obtain images, preprocess Retinex, extract image features, and classify recognizedobjects. Based on the student photo information in the database, it ensures that the student can becorrectly identified in various states whether they are in class or studying
